Terms of Use
Revision of September 2, 2026
1. What is and is not permitted
Most of these terms come down to a short list, so it is given first and explained afterwards.
| Action | Permission needed |
|---|---|
| Reading, bookmarking, linking | None, ever |
| Printing a page for yourself | None |
| Quoting a passage with attribution and a link | None |
| Republishing a page in full | Written permission first |
| Translating and posting the translation | Written permission first |
| Scraping at a rate that degrades the site | Not permitted |
| Probing or accessing the hosting account | Not permitted |
The writing, page structure and tables are the work of Joshua Roy and carry copyright. Permission for the middle two is usually given when asked.
2. Scope
Palmexor publishes strategy writing about casual gem puzzles on Android, including how such games behave on hardware that is a few years old. The pages are editorial description and opinion offered for general interest. Nothing on them is professional advice, and nothing is official documentation for any product.
No software is distributed from this site: no download, no installer, no APK, no repackaged build, no mirror. Applications named in the text are obtained from the stores their publishers use.
3. Accuracy and its expiry
The review date on a page is a claim about the writing, not a guarantee about any game. Developers change behaviour, requirements and pricing without notice, and a description that held in September may not hold in December. Where it matters, confirm against the current store listing and the game’s own help screen.
The site is provided as is and as available, with no warranty of completeness, currency, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
4. Names that are not ours
Game titles, studio names and platform names appear descriptively, to identify the software under discussion, and remain the property of their owners. Nothing on this site claims any right in them.
5. Links off the domain
A link leaving palmexor.com leads to material controlled by somebody else, along with its accuracy, availability, terms and data handling. Including one is not an endorsement or a recommendation to spend money, and these terms and the Privacy Policy cease to apply the moment you follow it.
6. The Old Phone Field Guide
One item on this site is paid for: a twenty-page PDF at CAD 11, bought once. Joshua Roy sells it as a private individual, not as a business. There is no shop on this domain, no checkout, no payment page and no card details collected anywhere on it.
An order starts with an email; the reply carries Interac e-Transfer details; the file goes back to the ordering address within two business days of the transfer arriving. Nothing renews, nothing is retained for a later charge, no account is created, no sales tax is added and no invoice from a registered business is issued.
The licence is personal: print it, keep it on your devices, annotate it. Reselling, uploading or circulating it is not permitted, and it ships unprotected because the restriction is meant to be respected rather than enforced.
Delivery completes when the message is sent. If it never arrives, or arrives and will not open, say so and choose between a resend and a refund in full — no explanation required, no deadline. Past that a delivered and opened file is not refunded, which is the ordinary position for a digital item and removes nothing you are entitled to under Manitoba consumer legislation that cannot be waived by agreement.
The guide is written and drawn entirely by Joshua Roy. It contains no material belonging to any developer, is endorsed by nobody, and buying it conveys no right in any game it discusses.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, Joshua Roy is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its contents, including indirect and consequential loss, loss of data, and costs incurred through third-party software or a store. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded it is limited to the minimum allowed, and nothing here removes a consumer protection that cannot be waived by agreement.
8. Contact, amendment and law
Corrections, complaints, order questions and formal notices go to [email protected]; quoting the page and the sentence usually settles a question in one exchange.
These terms may be revised, and the version on this page with the date above is the one in force. Continued use after a revision accepts it. The laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable there govern them, with the courts of Manitoba having jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory protection available where you live.
